Facilitating Connections
Established in 2016, Women’s Mentoring Circles (WMC) is an award -winning program and joint initiative between the Dallas Women Lawyers Association (DWLA) and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL). The program fosters meaningful connections between early-career women lawyers and seasoned practitioners through structured mentorship opportunities.
WMC is open to women attorneys licensed to practice in Texas. Participation is limited to members of DWLA or DAYL.

How Does WMC Work?
Participants are thoughtfully placed into a group (a “circle”) that brings together women lawyers at various stages of their careers, guided by experienced mentors. Throughout the year, participants are required to attend four (4) large group events: an engaging kick-off session followed by three programs tailored to address key topics of interest to women lawyers and foster meaningful connections. Participants are also encouraged to meet with their circles outside of these events for more personal and informal interactions.

- Tuesday, March 24 at 6:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, April 21 at 12:00 p.m. (virtual)
- Wednesday, May 27 at 5:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, June 23 at 12 p.m.

Award-Winning Program
Women’s Mentoring Circles is a nationally recognized program, having received the 2017 Star of Achievement Award from the State Bar of Texas and the 2022 Outstanding Member Program Special Recognition Award from the National Conference of Women’s Bar Associations. The WMC model has since been replicated by women’s bar associations across the country.across the country.
