Jennifer Larson Ryback shares with us how in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, women lawyers have been asked to do so much.
“Many of us lost childcare for some or all of the last year and have continued to work full-time. Others have experienced loss due to COVID or have taken on additional responsibilities to care for aging parents in the midst of the year’s challenges. This past year showed us what we already know–women are incredibly resilient, but even the strongest among us have struggled. As we continue through the pandemic and hopefully move beyond it, women have and will continue to struggle to achieve parity with their male counterparts. I chose to challenge, and work in any way I can to obviate, those inequities.
