Join us for various screening dates for the historical documentary “A Law Unto Themselves: How Women Lawyers of Dallas Transformed Law and Community – Together.”
In this feature-length documentary, prominent women lawyers from Dallas recount their individual and collective experiences fighting for equality within and beyond the legal profession for the last 70 years. From pioneering many “firsts” in the courts and their law firms, to overhauling state legislation and federal law, to leading and advocating for social change, the accounts of these remarkable women and of the trailblazers before them remind audiences not only of an often forgotten legacy, but also that the fight for equality under the law is far from finished–a fight that can only persevere through community and a promise for a better future together.
