An Opportunity for Women Lawyers
to Change the Statistics
The Dallas Women Lawyers Association (DWLA) and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL) have partnered to create a program that seeks to facilitate a connection between established female members of the Dallas Bar and their younger colleagues through mentorship. The goal is to integrate the women of the Dallas legal community through teaching and fellowship, centering on the retention, development, and advancement of female lawyers.
Sharing experiences and providing guidance
The program’s format consist of four panel discussions scheduled throughout the year, providing insight and advice from established female attorneys on a variety of topics. In addition, all participants are divided into smaller Mentoring Circles that meet on a monthly basis. The Mentoring Circles are intended to provide a place for mentors and mentees to share experiences and provide meaningful guidance and advice in confidential and candid conversations.
Award winning program
The Mentoring Circles Program was awarded the Star of Achievement Award at the State Bar of Texas 2017 Annual Meeting.
As more female attorneys enter the legal market, there is more opportunity than ever before to shape the profession’s future.
Interested in joining Mentoring Circles?
This program is for licensed female attorneys of all ages and at all stages of their career. Mentees will need to be a member of DAYL or DWLA in order to participate.
