Parkland Health & Hospital System is seeking a self-motivated paralegal with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience. The Paralegal candidate will have a track record of working effectively with a client-service focus in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be inspired by Parkland’s Mission:  Dedicated to the health and well-being of individuals and communities entrusted to our care.

The Paralegal candidate should have a proven track record of successfully handling high-touch clients, and demonstrate the ability to provide supportive customer service.  An adaptable and dependable team player with a positive attitude will work collaboratively with Parkland attorneys, Legal Affairs’ internal business customers, and with outside counsel resources.  Must be extremely responsive to a high volume of requests, be adaptable, resourceful, and detail oriented, and be able to develop and maintain relationships to bring matters to closure.  Prior experience with electronic matter management and e-billing preferred.

Knowledge of any of the following areas a plus:

  • Healthcare industry
  • Immigration
  • EEOC, TWC, and FLSA
  • Contracts
  • transactional matters
  • Medical record review
  • Claim form and EOB review

The Paralegal candidate must be:

  • able to effectively communicate and interact with a diverse population of employees, outside counsel, and colleagues.
  • highly organized and able to juggle priorities
  • able to demonstrate a mastery of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to synthesize voluminous documents and draft timelines, memoranda, and letters for use in various meetings, presentations and submissions.
  • Able to develop case information and review of records, and comply with various deadlines

This position reports to a Deputy General Counsel and is expected to integrate into a diverse, fast-paced legal team environment.
