Thank you for your interest in participating in The Pitch, brought to you by the Dallas Women Lawyers Association! The Pitch is designed to help women lawyers gain valuable business development experience, arming more women with the tools necessary to develop business and succeed in their law firms. Women lawyers selected to participate in The Pitch will be expected to attend two events. First, a 2-hour educational program to be held remotely on March 31, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. during which panelists will discuss topics “On the Road to the Pitch,” including preparation and presentation of written work product like RFPs and informal email pitches, social pitching like lunch requests and invitations to networking events, and branding yourself by writing articles, putting on CLEs, bar leadership, etc. During the 2-hour virtual program, participants will also learn best practices for preparing and giving a formal pitch and will gain more information about what is expected during The Pitch. Second, participants will attend an in-person (hopefully!) program to be held at the Arts District Mansion on April 7, 2022 from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. during which participants will practice their elevator speech, complete a mock pitch, and navigate a professional happy hour all with real-time feedback from in-house counsel.
Applications are due on Monday, March 7, 2022 by 5:00 p.m. Please note that your managing partner/supervising attorney must confirm your participation and you must click a box below indicating that he or she has approved of your participation.
