Letter from the President

Dear Friends,

It is a tremendous honor to serve as the President the Dallas Women Lawyers Association this year! In 2026, DWLA will continue to advance the mission that the organization has championed for over 50 years—elevating the status of women in the legal profession in Dallas. I am truly excited and grateful for the opportunity to help carry that mission forward.

Our theme for the year, “More Than a Lawyer: Embracing and Celebrating Our Full Selves,” is especially meaningful to me. It reflects what so many of us know to be true: that we are at our best when we honor every part of who we are. This theme is meant to pour into our souls, refill our cups, and help us center our minds and bodies, all while supporting our continued growth as professionals.

While we are committed lawyers, we are also leaders, caretakers, innovators, mentors, activists, creatives, friends, and changemakers. Those identities enrich our lives and our careers, although they can be overshadowed by the pressures and expectations of our profession. This year, DWLA will not only shine a light on all of those identities but also embrace, nurture, and celebrate them.

It is my genuine hope is that by the end of the year, every member of DWLA feels that they have been seen, supported, and celebrated, not just for what they do, but for who they are. Wonderful, complex, joyful, whole.

Please join us for a year filled with meaningful conversations, genuine connection, and community building as we embrace and uplift every part of ourselves. And thank you for the privilege of leading this incredible organization in the year ahead.

Sincerely yours,

Jasmine M. Tobias
2026 DWLA President
