Join us for ASC Gives Back on Thursday, January 30! This event will feature an evening of volunteer work for POETIC with wine, hors d’oeuvres, and a panel discussion focused on human trafficking in North Texas and the efforts to combat it.
Our esteemed panelists will be Dr. HaeSung Han, the co-founder and CEO of POETIC; Kathleen Klein, Legal Program Director at Mosaic Family Services; Jennifer Falk, criminal law practitioner, former Assistant District Attorney and partner at McCathern, PLLC; and The Honorable Nancy Mulder, Presiding Judge, Criminal District Court 6, Dallas County. Attendees will learn about the laws that govern human trafficking, the investigation and prosecution of human trafficking cases, and the legal advocacy services that POETIC provides to victims of human trafficking. Each of our speakers has deep knowledge and expertise in this area, and we look forward to learning from them and hearing their unique perspectives.
For the volunteer component of this event, we will be assembling therapy kits for POETIC’s clients. The kits will contain items that bring comfort to girls who are struggling, reminding them of how special they are when they need it most. Please consider purchasing a few therapy kit items from POETIC’s Amazon Wish List (select “POETIC WISH LIST DELIVERY” as your shipping address for delivery). They will be shipped to POETIC and then brought to the event for assembly. Let’s assemble as many kits as we can for this worthy cause!
